The SKY BioFLuids laboratory is a leading research organization dedicated to finding novel solutions to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease. Dr. Saami K. Yazdani leads the SKY BioFLuids Lab and is an Associate Professor at Wake Forest University. The SKY BioFluids lab employs a combination of traditional engineering approaches (solid mechanics and fluid mechanics) and biological techniques (tissue engineering and  physiology) to develop models to better understand the pathology of cardiovascular disease and characterize the failure of cardiovascular devices.  The team consists of strong collaboration with engineers, biologists, clinicians and industry.
